Official US Debut of Wine of Czech Republic

And US Premiere of Symphony of Wine

From Ancient Vines to the Vision

of Charles IV

On January 27, 2026, the historic Bohemian National Hall in New York City will host the official US launch of the Wine of Czech Republic project, introducing contemporary Czech wines to an international professional audience.

Held under the auspices of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in New York, the event is conceived primarily as a curated wine tasting and professional gathering, culminating in a unique cultural experience – the Symphony of Wine, performed by the Prague Philharmonia

Wine Tasting & Project Launch

January 27, 2026 | From 4:00 PM
Bohemian National Hall, New York City

The afternoon program will focus on a curated tasting of selected Czech wines, presented in the context of terroir, history and contemporary winemaking philosophy. The tasting marks the official debut of Wine of Czech Republic in the United States, a long-term initiative dedicated to education, authenticity and cultural continuity rather than short-term promotion.

The event is designed for wine professionals, media and cultural partners seeking a deeper understanding of Czech wine beyond stereotypes or regional labels.

From Wine to Music

The tasting is followed by Symphony of Wine, a concert by the Prague Philharmonia, which serves as the evening’s natural conclusion.

Rather than a traditional pairing, the Symphony of Wine creates a dialogue between music and wine, exploring shared principles such as structure, rhythm, balance and emotional resonance. Selected wines accompany individual musical movements, inviting guests to experience how taste and sound can echo one another.

Cultural Context

Positioning the launch within the Bohemian National Hall and under the patronage of the Czech Consulate highlights the broader cultural framework of the project. Czech wine is presented not only as a product, but as part of a living cultural heritage, alongside music, architecture and historical continuity.

Just as Czech classical music has long been part of the international cultural canon, Czech wine carries a story that deserves to be rediscovered and understood in a contemporary context.
